Biography

Jordi W. Saladrigas works with found and sought objects and fragments. From these “anti‑treasures” he draws a language that is personal yet universal, bringing them together in meaningful relationships. Colour and textures matter: they show traces of life and the passage of time, lending warmth and humanity to the objects.

His work is ultra‑poor in materials, going beyond Arte Povera and Nouveau Réalisme by adding a figurative, narrative and evocative dimension. Characters and landscapes may appear, with references to distant cultures and primordial places. Many works are “emptied landscapes”: a silence or pause that invites contemplation.

Jordi W. Saladrigas trabaja a partir de objetos y fragmentos buscados y encontrados. Los materiales de su obra pueden ser una madera encontrada en una playa invernal, una piedra valiosa por su capacidad de evocación o una figura de juguete encontrada en un mercadillo. A partir de materiales así, antitesoros, extrae una poética personal y universal mediante la reunión y la relación significativa.
